New Little League Age Determination

Your child is 7 years old or younger as of December 31, 2014: – This change does NOT impact your decision to play Little League this year but could affect your PeeWee League Age. Use this chart to determine league age

*If your child is born between May 1st and December 31st of a given year your child will lose one year of baseball between this year and their 12 year old Little League season. Parent will have to make a decision on what year this will occur.
Your child is 8 years old as of December 31, 2014 (born between May 1st and December 31st, 2006): This change DOES impact your decision to play Little League this year.
Little League International will now recognize league age as the player’s age as of December 31st (instead of April 30th). Therefore, the 4 years that your child is eligible to participate under current Little League rules and field dimensions will be 2015 – 2018. Warren County Pee Wee is NOT changing its age policy for returning eligible players (currently April 30th). This means that you have a choice. You can elect to have your child compete as an “8” (under our policy) year old in Div. II coach pitch. Or, you can elect to move your child into Little League (minor league division) to compete as a “9” (based on their revised policy) year old. For more information on Little League International’s policy click here (Little League Policy).
Warren County Pee Wee respects your decision regardless of which choice you make. We just want to make sure you have as much information as possible before making a decision. Feel free to contact a board member if you have additional questions.
